Marissa O’Brien

About Me

Starting with a career in social services, I found a passion for serving individuals while they change their lives. I carry a decade of experience working one on one with people as they discover their strengths, reveal the meaning in their challenges, and pave the way forward into a future that fulfills them. My transition to the field of life coaching was inspired by the amazing stories of transformation and personal growth even in the darkest moments of trial and hardship. I am motivated by the incredible power of the human spirit to thrive no matter what challenges it faces.

My approach to coaching is to create a nonjudgmental, focused space where you can evaluate your feelings and thoughts around your chosen topic. I listen for clues where you might be getting stuck in negative patterns of limiting beliefs and offer opportunities for a new perspective. Professionally, my coaching includes elements of  motivational interviewing, positive psychology, somatic awareness and creative expression.
